Cable Percussion

Cable percussion is a common method for drilling deeper boreholes in all types of soils and weak rocks. The ability to drive casing to greater depths and the enlarged sample diameter provides a better representation of the ground than windowless sampling.

Our rigs are towed to site along with all necessary equipment. Commonly used for 15m boreholes, additional casing can be mobilised to reach greater depths.

In-situ tests include SPTs, SPT(c)s, U100s, UT100s. On completion, gas and groundwater monitoring wells can be installed.

Lead drillers hold NVQs and all operatives possess CSCS cards. Full health and safety documentation such as risk assessments, method statements, COSHH etc; is carried in each truck.
